Walk around in Pasar Badung "Badung Market". It's the biggest Market in Denpasar City where the local people normally visit for their groceries and other needs.
To see and feel how the Balinese local people do their tradition and culture, you will be most welcome to do a traditional Balinese spiritual cleansing with the holly water and yellow or brown young coconut water and shamanic healing by the Hindu priest/shaman at a small temple.
